YSRCP candidate Y S Avinash Reddy is currently in the lead in Kadapa, with 13,189 votes counted in his favor. He maintains a substantial margin of over 3,000 votes ahead of his competitors.
The Congress party's contender, YS Sharmila, is also vying for victory in the constituency, but is trailing. For the last two terms, YSRCP has been in power in Kadapa.
This time, while Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSRCP is one side, the opposition parties, TDP, Jana Sena and BJP has formed the NDA.A total of 3.33 crore voters exercised their electoral power this year in Andhra Pradesh. The vote counting process began at 8am in the morning at 33 locations in 401 counting halls. Section 144 is in place at the counting areas.
