The big day is here. The counting of votes for the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha elections officially began on June 4, 2024 at sharp 8am in almost all the locations.
A total of 3.33 crore voters exercised their electoral power this year in Andhra Pradesh. The vote counting process began at 8am in the morning at 33 locations in 401 counting halls. Section 144 is in place at the counting areas.
In order to avoid disturbances, around 1985 sensitive areas are recognised by the Andhra Police department and inorder to control the same, CRPF from around 50 companies are in force. For the D day, 5,600 police personnel are safeguarding the security.
This time, while Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSRCP is one side, the opposition parties, TDP, Jana Sena and BJP has formed the NDA.
