22 Indians on board in the ship that collided with Baltimore Bridge

A Singapore based container ship named Dali, collided with the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore in the Patapsco river in the United States. The incident took place at around 1:30 local time on Tuesday, March 26th, 2024. It is said that all the crew members on this Singapore ship are Indians.

In its official statement, the Singapore company, Synergy Marine Group said, “All crew members, including the two pilots have been accounted for and there are no reports of any injuries. There has also been no pollution.” And further added that all crew members are Indians, 22 in total. The ship was outbound from Baltimore to Columbo.

The official note from the company further said the exact cause of the incident is yet to be determined. “The ‘DALI’ has now mobilised its Qualified Individual Incident response service. The US Coast Guard and local officials have been notified, and the owners and managers are fully cooperating with Federal and State government agencies under an approved plan,” said the statement.
