In tragic news, a ‘mass casualty’ event has been reported in the United States. In the early hours of Tuesday, March 26, 2024, the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore collapsed, when a container ship collided with one of the bridge pillars in the Patapsco River in the United States. A state of emergency has been declared by the Maryland Governor.
According to the reports, the container ship has lost control and resulted in the collision leading to the collapse of the bridge. This incident resulted in several people and at least seven vehicles plunging into the river in the middle of the night. The official final figures are yet to be revealed.
