In the year 2019, the Narendra Modi government abrogated Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, making a historic decision approved by the Parliament. 'Article 370', the latest Bollywood film in the town, has been made to explain the government's logic behind "ending the special status of Jammu & Kashmir." Predictably, the film has been attacked by the Leftist media.
The Hindu, in its review, said that the film was released in an election year and that the Aditya Suhas Jambhale directorial "milks historical events according to the political narrative set by the ruling dispensation." Deccan Herald said that the Bollywood action thriller is propagandist in nature. "The creative team showed contempt for all the institutions of democracy, such as the opposition, and the journalists. They were all caricatured as conspiratorial and anti-national," its review opined.
Film Companion found fault with the film's glorification of not just the Prime Minister but also the Home Minister.
On the other hand, Hindustan Times said that the film is educative. "Starring Yami Gautam and Priyamani as the two forces driving this intense narrative, the film informs, educates and keeps you invested for most part," wrote its reviewer.
