This Friday (November 3), two contrasting movies are set to hit the screens. As they lock horns, Telugu Vox analyzes their relative strengths and weaknesses (if any).
'Keedaa Cola': The genre is its biggest asset. As a comedy with relatable characters who show their vulnerabilities in pressing situations, this film promises to be a laugh riot.
Its second biggest strength is director Tharun Bhascker, who enjoys decent popularity among youngsters. When 'Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi', his previous film, was re-released in theatres, the cinema halls ran to packed houses for two days.
Brahmanandam has said that 'Keedaa Cola' is a Jandhyala-like comedy in terms of how clean and healthy its humour is. If true, that's a shot in the arm.
Its nth advantage lies in the fact that Suresh Productions is backing it. Its early premiers will be held in the Telugu States this Wednesday and Thursday in select places.
'Ma Oori Polimera 2': This supernatural thriller's biggest advantage is that it is a sequel. 'Ma Oori Polimera' has been watched by many on Disney Plus Hotstar. Since the first part was loved by the audience, the sequel is expected to register very good openings.
Geetha Arts is backing this one and this is another advantage.
A common weakness both films suffer from is that their lead cast are not popular. Brahmi is the only popular face in 'Keedaa Cola', while Satyam Rajesh and Get-up Srinu in 'Ma Oori Polimera 2' are known faces (but not crowd-pullers).
Let's see which of the above two films log success at the box-office.
