The teaser for 'BRO' was released on Thursday. And, within 15 hours, it has clocked more than 10 million views despite it being a remake. The response is mixed, with even many fans of Pawan Kalyan expressing their disappointment over the lack of palpable novelty.
To its credit, the teaser relies on Power Star's swag, and a hint that writer Trivikram could be the saving grace aside from the superstar. The actor-politician plays Time, who gifts Sai Dharam Tej's middle-class character the luxury of coming back alive after a fatal accident. Their conversations seem to be informed by wit and sarcasm.
The fantasy comedy-drama has been compared with 'Gopala Gopala' by Netizens and film observers. However, thematically, both are different.
Also starring Ketika Sharma, Priya Prakash Varrier, Samuthirakani, Rohini, Rajeswari Nair, Tanikella Bharani, Vennela Kishore, Subbaraju, Ali Reza and Surya Srinivas, the film has music by Thaman and cinematography by Sujith Vaasudev. Selva and Nikhil Koduri are its action director and VFX supervisor, respectively.
