Few months ago a major controversy shook the media circles when it was alleged that BJP was trying to buy in a few MLAs of the BRS party and all this got recorded on camera when the concerned people were discussing at a farmhouse. Since then, the legal route was taken and the case has been going on in several phases.

As such, the government of Telangana and in particular KCR was quite keen that a SIT must be set up for this case and the goal was to ensure BJP gets framed. Through this, they wanted to leverage the issue and use it for their election agenda. However, things are not working out the way they wanted.

The judiciary has refused all the appeals of the Telangana government and looks more inclined to give the case to CBI. It is an open secret what happens when cases are passed to the CBI. Meanwhile, the political analysts are saying it is about time KCR lets go of this farmhouse case at a legal level.

They are suggesting that keeping the official version aside, the public is aware of the issue and they are wise enough to realize who did what. In other words, they believe that public opinion has already been shaped and the legal proceedings may not have much of an impact on it.

However, this does not mean that the case should be swept under the rug. It is important for the legal system to pursue justice and ensure that the truth comes to light. The legal system must be allowed to function independently and impartially without any interference from political parties or their agendas. But given the political interference in cases pursued by CBI, the farmhouse case may be dissolved without much stir. So, many feel it would be a waste of energy and time for KCR and his party to still cling onto it.
