There has to be a decent level of acceptance in the political arena and a way of behaving or presenting oneself. Only then there will be some hope to be in the reckoning and a level of credibility to say that they have the right to be elected and form the government. The current trend in Telangana these days deserves some mention for many reasons.

Let's look at the statements given recently by two state chiefs of two national parties that are vying to come to power in Telangana during this year's assembly elections. The PCC chief, Revanth Reddy has announced that it would be nice to see Maoists destroying Pragathi Bhavan, the official residence of Telangana CM. Now Bandi Sanjay has gone ahead and declared that if BJP comes to power, they will destroy the dome like structures of the secretariat which is being constructed.

All said and done, they represent national parties and are not street level parties, because on the national stage they have recognition as parties with Pan India presence and appeal. There should be politics of development and not that of destruction and they should give a blueprint regarding how they would be handling the state if voted to power.

BRS has been ruling Telangana for the last 9 years and it has been a pro-people agenda where the reputation of the state has only increased manifold. CM KCR is right when he says that BJP or Congress cannot do any justice to India, and not just Telangana. Such statements only show their desperation to grab headlines as loose cannon but they don't bring any mileage either. Being bosses of their regional units like Telangana Congress and Telangana BJP, one can only wonder what value they would bring to politics and what would be their real intentions for Telangana. It's time to think before voting next time.
