A whooping 642 million voters participated in Indian elections

The Election Commission of India (ECI) revealed that India has set a new global benchmark with a staggering 642 million voters participating in the democratic process.

During the conference, the ECI expressed profound admiration for specific segments of the electorate whose contributions were particularly notable. Among them are the women voters whose engagement played a pivotal role in shaping the electoral outcome. Additionally, the Commission extended its appreciation to individuals over the age of 85, whose commitment to exercising their democratic right exemplifies the enduring spirit of civic duty.
