We have a new Exit Poll in the town. And it has been done through Artificial Intelligence by the popular Hindi-language news channel, Zee News.
As per the news channel, about 10 crore voter minds were read by AI. In the survey, the NDA is winning 320 seats, which is one of the least among all polls. The BJP is at just 50 seats in the key State of Uttar Pradesh.
Reading the voter choices of 10 crore people would be a game-changer. Axis My India, the polling agency that reaches out to the maximum number of voters, managed to interview just about 15.80 lakh voters over seven phases. And it is said that India Today had to spend something like Rs 30-35 Cr for the mammoth exercise.
If AI could have done an exercise that is many times bigger in terms of reach, why would India Today spend that much? The whole AI exit poll seems to be a time-pass activity meant to grab TRPs.
The AI survey involved the scanning of YouTube and social media, where political parties have parked lakhs of bots. Can such a survey give any meaningful result?
