The Oscars 2024 have been dominated by 'Oppenhemier', which won Academy Awards in seven different categories. This has left the fans of 'Killers of the Flower Moon' tad disappointed. The 2023 American epic western crime drama film was co-written, produced, and directed by Martin Scorsese.
As per Forbes, Lily Gladstone appeared to have the best chance of winning a major Oscar going into the ceremonies. "It’s incredible the emotional range Lily Gladstone was able to communicate with just her eyes. She didn’t win an Oscar but her work in the film is one for the history books," a fan wrote.
A movie-goer opined that 'Killers of the Flower Moon' will join the legion of films such as '12 Angry Men', 'Shawshank Redemption', 'Seven Samurai', 'Singin in the Rain', and more that have never won Oscars but are a seminal part of cinematic history. "I expected 'Oppenheimer' to win for the Best Original Score, and it is good, but I think the late Robbie Robertson’s score for 'Killers of the Flower Moon' added immeasurably to the film’s impact and will be the one that is discussed as a masterpiece years from now," a cinephile opined.
