India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal today smashed his second Test double hundred against England in the third Test in Rajkot. He reached his double hundred of 231 balls.
The young left-hander also became the first batter to complete 20 sixes in a Test series. "Jaiswal in the seven tests so far: Three centuries, two double hundreds, one 150+ score, and two fifties. Jaiswal is here to rule," commented Mufaddal Vohra, a cricket fan with a vast social media traction.
Former Indian cricketer Yusuf Pathan wrote that he had predicted Jaiswal's bright future with Team India. "And here he is, announcing his arrival in grand style with two double hundreds in the series, an incredible player. Keep shining," Pathan wrote.
Cricket buffs are marvelling at the brilliance shown by Jaiswal and Sarfaraz Khan. "These are not batting for India and smashing the opposition in a Test match. This looks more like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sarfaraz Khan batting for Rizvi Springfield and smashing the opposition in a school game at Azad Maidan," wrote Bharat Sundaresan, a cricket fan.
