It has been reported that underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, who hails from Mumbai and has been living in other countries like Pakistan and Dubai, has been hospitalized. What caused his hospitalization? As per the gossip amplified on social media by several prominent social media handles run by journalists (among others), Dawood was poisoned by Indian secret agents in Karachi. A fugitive don, Dawood is one of the most globally wanted terrorists. He was a key mastermind of the 1993 Bombay blasts following the demolition of the Babri Masjid.
Soon after the reports of Dawood's hospitalization emerged on Sunday night, reports said that YouTube, Facebook and Twitter were shut down in several parts of Pakistan. "Karachi, Mir Pur Khas, Lahore and Rawalpindi were the worst affected cities," Geo News reported.
For many years, the Indian government failed to nab Dawood even though he was described as a terrorist and a drug trafficker. After he ran away from India, our governments tried their best and worked in tandem with countries like the US to nab him.
So far, there is no credible info about Dawood's hospitalization, much less poisoning. India's "unknown men", if they indeed have done what has been rumoured, will be hailed as true heroes if the news is true.
