Noted senior actor Prakash Raj is hit with a huge turmoil on the personal front after the Enforcement Directorate has summoned him to attend for investigation in a Rs 100 crore Ponzi scam.
The ED has stated that Prakash Raj operated as the brand ambassador for Pranav Jewellers who duped their investors of Rs 100 crores in a Ponzi scheme.
The jeweller outlet is based in Trichy and they had a launched a scheme where they promised to pay out the investors in gold in return for their money. However, the Ponzi scheme was later identified to be a huge scam. The company and its owner have fled without a trace.
The ED has now summoned Prakash Raj to appear in front of the officials for further investigation as he has been a brand ambassador for the company for a while now. He is due to appear for investigation in the next few days.
Prakash Raj is one of the earnest actors and he vows to be an important figure in the South Indian political space. His political clash with the BJP appears to have landed him in trouble now.
