TRS leader, Amitabh Bachchan extend support to Rashmika Mandanna

Rashmika Mandanna's deepfake video has shocked many. Generated with the help of Artificial Intelligence, the video has sparked a debate about the harmful effects of AI technology in the age of social media. With no less than a Union Minister taking cognizance of the issue, the actress herself today issued a statement.

"I feel really hurt to share this and have to talk about the deepfake video of me being spread online. Something like this is honestly, extremely scary not only for me, but also for each one of us who today is vulnerable to so much harm because of how technology is being misused," she wrote

The star heroine also thanked Amitabh Bachchan for standing with her. Big B was the first major personality to highlight the issue.

Hours later, Kavitha Kalvakuntla also highlighted the issue. "Recent deepfake targeting Rashmika Mandanna exposes the alarming ease of narrative manipulation online. Urgent action is needed to safeguard Indian women from cyber threats," the BRS leader wrote, requesting the President of India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Minister of Electronics Ashwini Vaishnaw to look into the matter.
