Pawan Kalyan has come out in support of Aryan Khan, the son of Shah Rukh Khan. Aryan was arrested by the NCB in October 2021 after a raid on a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai. Seven others were arrested for participating in a rave party in which drugs were seized. No drug was found on the person of Aryan and yet he was kept in custody for a month. In May 2022, Aryan was given a clean chit in the case.
On Sunday evening, addressing his party cadre, Pawan Kalyan commented that Aryan was innocent but was made to suffer for a month in an unfair manner. "Who should be made responsible for his suffering? I support innocent people regardless of their caste and religion. When I criticized his arbitrary arrest for weeks, many said that I shouldn't risk angering BJP leaders. But I speak out in support of the truth," the Jana Sena Party chief said.
Aryan was quoted as saying by a sleuth that he was distressed over his name being mentioned in the context of alleged links with international drug deals. The 25-year-old guy's reputation was tarnished by the whole saga.
