A day after questioning the decision to have a reserve day exclusively for the India vs Pakistan Super 4 match in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 tournament, former Indian bowler Venkatesh Prasad on Saturday blasted the BCCI over the preparations for the ICC Cricket World Cup.
Taking to Twitter, Prasad opined that we have messed up the lead-up to the World Cup and that it is not debatable. Unreasonable delay in the announcement of the schedule, changing the schedule in such a way that five matches were hampered in the process, non-transparent and inefficient ticket system that only encourages black marketeers are three of the issues flagged by Prasad.
In a previous tweet, Prasad was even more savage. "It takes one corrupt, arrogant guy to take away the hard work of an organization that is generally non-corrupt and gets a stamp of corruption on the whole leadership, not just on a micro level but at a large level," he wrote.
Prasad further opined that we need genuine fans inside the stadium cheering for Team India. "The experience of the spectators needs to be far smoother and easier than what it has been," he added.
