Our government has transferred Rs 28 lakh cr so far: BJP leader JP Nadda

BJP National President JP Nadda on Monday said that the BJP-led NDA government has so far transferred Rs 28 lakh crore to people's bank accounts directly since 2014. The BJP leader said that good governance heralded by the Modi government will continue under the DBT transfer arrangement enabled by Jan Dhan Yojana. By doing so, said Nadda, the Central government has plugged leakages to the tune of Rs 4-5 lakh crore.

Nadda lauded the Modi government's track record in containing Covid-19. He also said that the Modi administration has shown zero tolerance towards corruption.

The BJP leader iterated that India is the key driver of growth in Asia. "India is one of the few stable economies in the world at a time when the IMF has noted that global headwinds are affecting many countries," Nadda added.

On Tuesday, about 38 parties will join the NDA meet in Delhi. This is meant to show the Opposition the strength of the ruling coalition unity.
