BJP AP, TS gets new chiefs

BJP AP, TS gets new chiefs. Ahead of the 2024 elections, BJP's high command decided to set its house in order. It is known that during the last few weeks, various leaders in T-BJP started expressing their dissent by speaking in different tones and exposing their personal rivalries. At the same time, AP-BJP is in sleep mode while other parties like YSRCP, TDP, and Jana Sena are getting battle ready.

This forced the BJP national leadership to overhaul the setup in AP and Telangana state leadership. As such, BJP AP and TS got new chiefs. Senior BJP leader Purandeswari is appointed as the AP BJP chief and she will be replacing Somu Veeraraju. Similarly Kishan Reddy will be replacing Bandi Sanjay in the Telangana.

Home Minister Amit Shah called both Somu Veeraraju and Bandi Sanjay and asked them to resign and told them it is the part of reorganisation of the party. Bandi Sanjay would be bestowed new responsibilities and most probably inducted into the Union Cabinet.

While the leadership change in T-BJP was expected, the leadership change in AP-BJP wasn't expected and it came as a shock to Somu Veeraraju. The decision according to sources has been taken as Somu Veeraraju targeted only TDP and not YSRCP.
