Vijaya Sai Reddy on Monday spoke to the media in the wake of allegations involving him and Kalingiri Shanthi, the suspended Assistant Commissioner. Shanthi's estranged husband recently cast aspersions on her character, besides mentioning Reddy in his official complaint.
The Rajya Sabha MP said that there is a systematic attempt to sling mud at some YCP leaders. "I want to make it clear that those who are targeting us will not be spared, no matter how powerful they are and no matter which political party they belong to. I will not spare them even if they belong to YSRCP," Reddy said.
Vijaya Sai Reddy said that, on Sunday evening, a bike-bound "goonda" element belonging to the TDP appeared in front of his residence and asked for him. Reddy showed a CCTV screen grab of the person, who was seen with a woman. "I want to tell this person, whoever he is, that I am not scared of intimidation. I am ready to meet him all alone. I have attended this presser without any security personnel," Reddy said.
