The TDP on Sunday resorted to offence against the YSRCP by making wild allegations backed by little evidence. The party released inside pics related to the Rushikonda Palace in Vizag. The TDP, with the support of propaganda news channels, has alleged that former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy had planned to live in the Palace with his wife. As per the TDP, Jagan burdened the exchequer with a budget of Rs 500 Cr for his personal luxury. The allegation has been countered by the YSRCP.
"The buildings in Rushikonda are government-owned assets, not private property. They don't belong to any individual. Constructed to reflect the previous government's focus on Visakhapatnam, their use falls under the government's purview. Since 1995, Chandrababu Naidu has claimed Visakhapatnam as the state's financial capital. He has served four terms as Chief Minister. However, the lack of suitable buildings to host dignitaries like Prime Ministers, Presidents, Chief Ministers, or Governors is a cause for concern," the YSRCP's official social media handles said, justifying its government's decision to build the Palace.
"While taking pictures inside the Rushikonda Resorts buildings and expressing negativity may be emotionally satisfying, it doesn't benefit the people of Visakhapatnam," the party added.
