In a surprising development, Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, the Chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Trust Board, tendered his resignation from his post on Tuesday evening.
However, he did not mention any reason for his resignation in the letter. Bhumana is the MLA from the Tirupati Assembly constituency representing the YSRCP party and the loss of the YSRCP in the recent elections also seems to be one of the reasons behind the resignation.
In the recently concluded assembly elections, the YSRCP faced its worst ever defeat to the opposition alliance of the TDP-Jana Sena and the BJP parties. The results are being announced on Tuesday.
