Counting in 24 hrs: 2 Blows To YCP at Supreme Court

Andhra Pradesh is entering the all important counting period in under 24 hours as the process is bound to commence at 8 AM in the morning tomorrow. In this context, an interesting update has started to capture the attention on social media as YCP has been dealt with two blows a day before the counting.

In a first retort, the Supreme Court directed Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy, the MLA from Macharla accused in an EVM damage case, not to enter any counting centres on June 4.

Pinnelli, who is currently out on anticipatory bail, was ordered to stay away from the counting process following allegations of damaging EVMs.

In a separate ruling on Monday , the Supreme Court addressed a petition filed by the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). The party had urgently moved the court, questioning the validity of around five lakh postal ballots cast in Andhra Pradesh. The YSRCP challenged the Election Commission of India's (ECI) handling of these postal ballots.

Regardless, the electoral and post-poll trends are overwhelmingly in favor of the YSR Congress outfit in Andhra Pradesh and this is the most important thing really in the AP trends.
