The Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Hyderabad has taken significant action in the BS-IV vehicle scam, filing a chargesheet against prominent TDP leader and former Tadipatri MLA, JC Prabhakar Reddy, along with C Gopal Reddy and their family members.
Alongside the chargesheet, the premier investigation agency has also attached 68 immovable properties valued at Rs. 28.62 Crore, belonging to the accused individuals.
Investigations conducted by the ED uncovered alleged violations of Supreme Court orders regarding BS IV vehicles. The apex court had clearly stated that vehicles failing to comply with BS IV emission norms were prohibited from sale or registration in India from April 1, 2017, onwards.
