The twin Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana went to polls on the 13th of May and the polling turnout has been rather mixed in the two states.
Andhra Pradesh has seen a whopping 81+% voting in the assembly and parliamentary elections while Telangana got stuck at the sub 66% range which is on the lower side.
Coming to Andhra Pradesh Elections 2024, the state hit an impressive 81.3% compared to 2019's 79.7% and 2014's 78.4%. The steady incline in the polling percentage is a good sign for democracy.
