In the 2019 election, YSR Congress showed a surprisingly positive upswing in the Krishna district by winning 14 of the total 16 MLA seats here. This number can't be repeated again for obvious reasons as it is tough to replicate such a wave in every election.
However, YSRCP is still maintaining a surprisingly good hold in Krishna district, according to the survey done by a representative of the Chanakkya group.

TDP alliance is leading in 6-7 seats.
YSRCP is leading in 9-10 seats.

TDP alliance - 47.6%
Among Male Voters:
YSRCP - 49.1%
TDP alliance - 48.7%
Among Female Voters:
YSRCP - 54.1%
TDP alliance - 44.6%
Winning in the range of 10 MLA seats in Krishna district is a positive upswing for YSRCP as this district is traditionally the stronghold of TDP. Winning he majority seats here will add to the existing prospects of YSRCP which are untouchably strong in Rayalaseema region.
