YSR Congress party has announced its finalized list of MLA and MP candidate for the coming election and if we have a deeper look into the kind of social engineering that went into the finalization of this list, we can see the meticulous planning that CM Jagan has devised.
Out of the total 200 candidates including the MLA and MP candidates, 77% of them, i.e. 153 candidates (131 MLA, 22 MP), are Graduates and
above. There are 58 Post Graduates & 6 Doctorates. There are 17 Doctors, 15 Lawyers, 34 Engineers, 5 Teachers, 2 Civil Servants, 1 Defence personnel, 1 Journalist on the finalized list.
Adding to that, a whopping 50% of total seats (MLA plus MP), i.e 100 seats (84 MLA, 16 MP) are given to BC/SC/ST/Minority communities
In 175 MLA seats, the distribution is as below SC- 29, ST-7,BC-48, OC- 91. There are 7 minorities and 19 women. In the total 25 MP seats that were allocated, the distribution is as below SC- 4, ST-1 ,BC-11, OC-9
This is a well rounded mechanism that is aimed at equally attracting all the sections of the voters in Andhra Pradesh and Jagan has shown his trademark ingenuous planning with the same.
