The NDTV’s founders Prannoy Roy and his wife Radhika Roy recently resigned as the directors of its promoter group vehicle RRPR Holding Private Limited after almost being taken over by the Adani group.
Even its detractors agree that the popular television news channel has been one of the finest media groups reporting unbiased and balanced journalism for decades even though Prannoy and his wife Radhika were slightly closer to the Congress high command. NDTV was critical of certain policies by the BJP under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The change is already reportedly visible this week when it highlighted Narendra Modi’s Road show in Gujarat. Some of its committed journalists are reportedly getting ready to leave the respected media group. On the lines of some North India based media groups, many feel it’s a matter of time before NDTV becomes a saffron channel soon. Its old time fans are lamenting its current state of downfall!
