Sentiment is the USP of the BRS party which ensured statehood to Telangana, in modern India. That is the original advantage of the party using which it has been running politics for two decades. BRS, which had come to power twice with Telangana sentiment, is using the same weapon again.
When the elections were held for the second time in 2018 after Telangana formation, TDP chief Chandrababu wanted to come to power with the Congress combo and BRS scared the people by showing this alliance as unholy for Telangana.
BRS leaders understand very well that if the sentiment is not used again for the third time, it will not work. The Telangana movement was used to attract masses and during the second time, the BRS leaders won by demonizing Chandrababu and Andhra domination.
This time they are taking another step. Along with comparing the development between Andhra and Telangana, they are all set to highlight that Telangana was backward earlier due to the betrayal of leaders of AP in the past, and now ten years after the separation of AP, this state is not able to rise.
They are not only boasting about the development Telangana has achieved after the separation, but also kindling some sentiment in AP. Now it's up to leaders of AP as to how they can counter the sentiment-based politics of BRS, which has always been an expert in using it.
