Former Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh, Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy, has joined the BJP, leading to discussions about whether he has joined the party for Telangana BJP or Andhra Pradesh BJP. Central BJP leaders have stated that his influence will be in both regions, but there is debate among netizens about his impact.

Kiran Kumar Reddy, who opposed the formation of Telangana, has been criticized by BRS leaders in Telangana for joining the BJP. Kiran Kumar Reddy himself has said that he will not play an active role in Andhra Pradesh since the BJP's situation in the state is weak, with only 1% of votes in the last assembly elections.

Although there are leaders like Sujana Chaudhary, TG Venkatesh, CM Ramesh, Adinarayana Reddy, and Vakati Narayana Reddy in Andhra Pradesh BJP, it is believed that they joined the party out of fear of cases. BJP does not have a single MLA, MLC, or MP in Andhra Pradesh, and there are no expectations of better results in the next election.

Kiran Kumar Reddy's younger brother, Nallari Kishore Kumar Reddy is in charge of Pileru for TDP in Andhra Pradesh. Kishore Kumar Reddy, who lost as a TDP candidate in the 2019 election, will contest on behalf of TDP in the next election. Nara Lokesh has also finalized his candidature, leading to concerns about the disadvantage of having Nallari Kishore Kumar Reddy in one party and Kiran Kumar Reddy in another.

In Telangana, there are strong BJP leaders like Bandi Sanjay, Dharmapuri Arvind, Etela Rajender, Raghunandan Rao, Kishan Reddy, Vijayashanti, DK Aruna, and Jitender Reddy. It is being said that Kiran Kumar Reddy is of no use to the Telangana BJP since he has no talking power or mass image beyond these leaders.
