On Tuesday evening (IST), hundreds in Lebanon were injured in a synchronised detonation of pagers. The target of the alleged Israeli operation was the terror group Hezbollah.
"Thousands of Hezbollah’s encrypted pager devices began simultaneously, exploding across Lebanon, including in Damascus. Initial reports from Lebanon estimate around 1,000+ casualties so far. Hezbollah has instructed all its militants to immediately discard their pagers, calling this the most significant security breach they’ve ever encountered," a report stated.
As time passed by, the number of casualties kept growing. "Over 2000 Hezbollah terrorists now reported injured!! This number includes senior Hezbollah commanders and the Iranian ambassador. Nothing like this has ever been seen before and I think it is clear that people will be talking about this for years to come," another update said.
"Israel managed to detonate hundreds of communication devices of Hezbollah terrorists all at the same time and across all of Lebanon. Reports of many of them eliminated and many others severely injured. This is one of the craziest things Israel has ever pulled off," a journalist wrote.
