Recently, pop star Taylor Swift endorsed Kamala Harris in November’s presidential race. The singer wrote, “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.”
This hasn't gone down well with Donald Trump, the former president and Republican nominee. Taking to a social media platform, he wrote, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”
Trump's own supporters find his post quite bizarre. "His own supporters are baffled; they say it’s “disturbing” and “isn’t going to help” him win the election and are pleading with him to “stop the dumb sh*t" (sic)," wrote Sahil Kapur, summarizing a bunch of tweets against Trump.
Taylor Swift has been against Trump for years. "Over the years, she has slammed Trump over his handling of Black Lives Matter protests, his attempt to dismantle the U.S. Postal Service, and most recently, his shameless reposts of artificial intelligence-generated images of Swift endorsing him for president," reminded Rolling Stone in an opinion piece.
