Ravi Teja has tasted four setbacks within a year. Three flops as an actor and one flop as a producer have made his filmography look terrible.
'Tiger Nageswara Rao' and 'Mr. Bachchan' are among the biggest disasters in the career of the Mass Maharaja. 'Eagle' didn't recover its investment due to digital and satellite rights going wrong. 'Sundaram Master', a film he produced with Viva Harsha as the male lead, was sensible but it didn't do well commercially.
At this juncture, there is a view that Ravi Teja must slow down considerably so that he doesn't overdo it. The 'Ravanasura' and 'Krack' actor last year teamed up with director Gopichand Malineni. The project is yet to take off. Malineni is doing a film with Bollywood star Sunny Deol in the lead. Ravi Teja must wait and watch its result before taking it forward. Director GVR Vasu was supposed to wield the megaphone for a film produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments. The status of this project is unknown. The versatile actor's movies will be made on big budgets.
