"When Faith Clashes with the Rational Mind": Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas Stars as an Atheist Cop in Chilling ‘Haindava’ Teaser
Riding high on the resounding success of Kishkindhapuri, action star Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas is pivoting toward an occult procedural with his upcoming pan-Indian feature, ‘Haindava’. Directed by debutant Ludheer Byreddy and mounted on an uncompromising canvas by Mahesh Chandu and Shiven Ramakrishna under the Moonshine Pictures banner, the film officially launched its promotional blitz today with a gripping, atmospheric teaser.
Alongside the visual drop, the makers locked the worldwide theatrical premiere for November 27, 2026.
The Mystery of Rangapuram: An Ancient Temple Stripped of Its Gods
The teaser plunges viewers directly into the eerie, mist-laden hamlet of Rangapuram, where unsettling incidents shake local faith:
-
The Inciting Incident: Every sacred idol housed inside the village's historic temple disappears overnight without a trace, accompanied by the cold-blooded homicide of a local resident.
-
The Prophetic Belief: Defying standard panic, the enigmatic temple head priest remains unshaken, declaring with absolute certainty that the deities will return on their own within an ordained cosmic timeframe.
-
The Rational Skeptic: Assigned to crack the inexplicable anomaly is an uncompromising police officer—played with raw authority by Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas—an overt atheist who trusts cold logic and human actions over divine interventions.
A High-Caliber Ensemble Meets Occult Intrigue
Bellamkonda brings a commanding physical presence and quiet intensity to the khaki role, signaling a performance that balances grounded forensic inquiry with high-impact action sequences.
The investigative drama is further bolstered by an eclectic Pan-Indian supporting cast:
-
Samyuktha headlines as the female lead in an emotionally grounded character.
-
Acclaimed filmmaker-actor Mahesh Manjrekar portrays the enigmatic, resolute temple priest.
-
Powerhouse performers JD Chakravarthy, Saurabh Sachdeva (Animal fame), Shivaji Raja, and Getup Srinu take on crucial, layered roles that heighten the suspicion surrounding Rangapuram's dark secret.
Haunting Visual Craft and Sam CS's Throbbing Soundscapes
The creative crew ensures that Haindava carries a palpably tense, immersive atmospheric texture:
-
Music & Score: Thriller maven Sam CS delivers an ominous, percussion-heavy background score that accentuates the supernatural undertones.
-
Cinematography: Lensman Harish Kannan paints the frames with shadowed corridors, flickering oil lamps, and dense rustic textures.
-
Production Design: Art director Siva Kamesh D meticulously reconstructs the sacred architecture and eerie rural outskirts of the fictional town.
-
Editing: Veteran cut-master Karthika Srinivas R ensures a sharp, curiosity-inducing narrative pace.
Blending ancient devotion, psychological conflict, and gritty investigative action, ‘Haindava’ is poised to be an edge-of-the-seat theatrical thrill when it hits screens across India on November 27.
