'Operation Raavan' will take Rakshit Atluri to the next level: Director Maruthi

'Operation Raavan' is slated to hit the screens on July 26 (this Friday). Its pre-release presser was held in Hyderabad today.

Speaking on the occasion, guest and director Maruthi said that the film is coming out at the right time. "It is interesting that a father (Venkata Satya) has directed his son in a nail-biting thriller story. After a film like 'Palasa 1978', it is worthy of appreciation that he has followed it up with 'Operation Raavan'. I knew Rakshit even before he became a hero. He is passionate about acting and looks like a boy next door. In his films, we see the character, not him. I am positive about his upcoming movies and his future. He combines passion and the ability to endear himself to the audience. 'Operation Raavan' will take him to the next level," Maruthi said.

Maruthi added that he watched the movie six months ago and loved the thrilling plot-turns in it.

Rakshit said, "My father (Venkata Satya) has done this movie with so much efficiency. Dialogue writer Lakshmi Lothith Pujari is a lovely person. I want my association with him to continue. Through the trailer and teaser, we have managed to create enough curiosity already. It is up to the audience now. We have most certainly done a movie that deserves the audience's appreciation. Cinematographer Nani Chamidisetty's visuals and Jashuva Master's stunts will impress the audience. Sri Vasanth's background music will stun the audience. Even on repeat viewing, the scenes, especially in the second half, gave me goosebumps. The masked man trope is going to surprise the audience. I urge the audience not to reveal the reveal to others."

The film, produced by Dhyan Atluri, has music by Saravana Vasudevan.
