'Bahishkarana' has been streaming on ZEE5 for the past few days. At a time when the web series has been receiving acclaim, Anjali has broken her silence about doing intimate scenes in the rustic drama.
For those who haven't watched the series yet, Anjali plays a sex worker named Pushpa in 'Bahishkarana'. While she loved the layered nature of her character, playing it was still a challenge, especially enacting the bold, intimate scenes. “I had to go through a lot of emotions after the scene. I literally broke down after doing one of the steamy scenes. That was the first time I did such a scene. And I wasn’t probably mentally prepared. I was not game but I had to do the scene," she says, giving a hint about how psychologically strong one needs to be to pull off steamy scenes in the presence of two dozen individuals on set.
“I also shot the steamy scenes with very few people on the sets. The director made sure that the crew was limited and that I was comfortable. The scenes were aesthetically shot in such a way that the character doesn’t lose its essence and spirit," she adds.
Anjali was recently seen in two films: 'Geethanjali Malli Vacchindi' and 'Gangs Of Godavari'.
