Director Mahi V Raghav’s latest web series 'Save The Tigers Season 2' aka 'Save The Tigers Again' has been streaming successfully on Disney Plus Hotstar. It is learned that the comedy series, involving three married couples and the ego clashes between them, has registered record numbers in terms of viewership for any regional web series in its first week of release.
Mahi has had a fantastic run on the OTT front. 'Save The Tigers' (Season 1) was a blockbuster too. And his second OTT outing, ‘Shaitan’, was another superhit. In this sense, the 'Yatra 2' maker has scored a hat-trick in the streaming world by making the right moves.
The 'Anando Brahma' maker is not just a writer-director but also a producer. His banner, Three Autumn Leaves, has been a pioneer in long-format story-telling. The web series he has brought out so far inspires confidence in his abilities to stay the course and play to his strengths in the future as well.
Reacting to the latest success, he says, "What worked for the show (the two 'Save The Tigers' seasons) was the humour between the couples and fun elements that audiences can resonate with in their daily lives. We blended comedy with emotional depth backed by great performances that enriched the narrative in delivering a wholesome entertainer. As a writer, I always prefer to tell the stories that are rooted so that it can resonate with the audience."
He further adds. “We have been producing films and web series consistently under my banner Three Autumn Leaves and have been encouraging writers and directors. I am glad that our banner has made a mark in this industry. We continue to tell engaging stories and are all set to roll out a couple of shows soon.”
