While some films are made purely for short-term entertainment, only a few stay with the audience long after leaving the cinema hall, leaving a lasting impression and prompting thoughtful reflection. The upcoming film '3 2 1' (Love Marriage Vs Arranged) aims to belong to that distinctive category, according to its writer, director, and co-producer Chilumula Shanthikumar. A filmmaker who has previously earned two Nandi Awards across his past three projects, Shanthikumar shared that the film has been crafted cleanly so that both children and adults can watch it together without any hesitation or embarrassment. The film is set for a grand theatrical release on October 23.
The central theme explores whether a love marriage or an arranged marriage is better for a lifelong journey, generating significant curiosity among viewers. The promotional material has already begun striking a chord; the recently released melody song 'Nanu Thaakina' touched a million hearts within a short span, while the official trailer, released two days ago, crossed the one million views milestone on digital platforms due to its engaging content.
The film stars Mohit Peddada, known for his work across multiple popular web series, as the male lead. Lavanya, who earned acclaim for portraying Junior Sammakka in Nani's successful feature 'Paradise', plays the leading lady. The supporting cast features Vivan Surya, Prabhavathi, Madhavi, Lakshmi Vennela, Yamini, Kunthi Srinivas, Appaji Ambarisha, and Vidyasagar in key roles.
Produced jointly by Vangapati Ramanuja Reddy and Chilumula Shanthikumar under the Brahma Art Creations banner, the film features music composed by Joy Calvin, with lyrics penned by noted lyricist Mounasri Mallik. The technical team includes cinematographer Shiva Muppala, editor Shiva Sarvani, co-director Nanibabu, and title and poster designer Viva Reddy. With content-driven cinema receiving widespread appreciation from audiences, the team remains confident that '3 2 1' will resonate strongly with viewers when it hits screens on October 23.
