Sandeep Reddy Vanga blasts iconic Bollywood writer

Sandeep Reddy Vanga is miffed with Hindi screenwriter Javed Akhtar, who is known for many classics. Akhtar recently opined that a film like 'Animal' becoming a blockbuster is dangerous.

Reacting to his words, the official Twitter handle of 'Animal' (supposedly maintained by Vanga himself) shot back harshly: "If a writer of your caliber fails to grasp the profound sense of betrayal from a lover, then your entire artistic expression becomes fundamentally flawed. If a woman, deceived and manipulated by a man under the guise of love, were to declare, "Lick my shoe," you might hail it as a feminist statement. Let love transcend the constraints of gender politics. Simply acknowledge them as lovers."

Several Netizens have questioned the choice of words against Akhtar. "Saying 'all your art form is a big false' to a person like Javed Akhtar saab just because he criticized an aspect of a film. Indirectly, proving Javed Akhtar saab’s words. It’s not about the film or a scene, it’s about the intentions, the mentality," opined Aavishkar, a Twitter user.

Others are of the view that 'Animal' is a blockbuster and any criticism against it shouldn't rile Vanga up. "The film is an all-time blockbuster. People loved it, even the biggest masterpieces have critics. Javed Akhtar might have been unreasonable a couple of times, but his art form isn’t false by any means," a Netizen wrote.
