'Kota Bommali PS' hit the screens on November 24 last year. Usually, small films hit OTT after four weeks of their theatrical release. In this case, the window has been extended because GA2 Pictures and Aha Video have this declared policy of ensuring a certain gap between theatrical and OTT releases.
Produced by Bunny Vass and Vidya Koppineedi, the film was a political survival thriller led by Srikanth. "The cat-and-mouse chase in the political survival thriller is littered with a few convenient, unoriginal ideas. 'Kota Bommali PS' is a watchable film, nevertheless. It lacks the bite of its Mollywood source material, 'Nayattu'. Yet, it makes for an engaging watch," we opined in our review.
The Midhun Mukundan-composed 'Lingi Lingi Lingidi' became a blockbuster on YouTube last year. It also aided in the film's popularity to an extent. "Ranjin Raj's music is average. The background score has nothing much to be discussed about. Editor Karthika Srinivas R does a fine job. Cinematographer Jagadeesh Cheekati's work is fairly adequate. GA2 Pictures ensures decent production values," we wrote in the review.
Rahul Vijay and Varalaxmi Sarthkumar played cops alongside Srikanth. Murali Sharma was seen as a politician.
