Actress Trisha Krishnan has been pained by senior Kollywood artist Mansoor Ali Khan stating that he had hoped for a rape scene with her in 'Leo'. Khan also remarked that he had done rape scenes with Roja and Khushboo in the past and that he hoped for the same with Trisha. Needless to say, his remarks are grotesque and shocking.
Trisha came out strongly against his "vile and disgusting" words. She strongly condemned him for making comments that are "sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive and in bad taste". "He can keep wishing but I am grateful never to have shared screen space with someone as pathetic as him and I will make sure it never happens for the rest of my film career as well. People like him bring a bad name to mankind," Trisha further wrote.
'Leo' director Lokesh Kanagaraj later came out in Trisha's support. "Disheartened and enraged to hear the misogynistic comments made by Mr.Mansoor Ali Khan, given that we all worked in the same team. Respect for women, fellow artists and professionals should be a non-negotiable in any industry and I absolutely condemn this behaviour," the star director tweeted.
Several other celebs such as Malavika Mohanan of 'Master' fame have also supported Trisha.
Surprisingly, in his statement on Sunday, Khan didn't apologize to Trisha. He tried to say that he made the comments in jest and that his daughter is her fan.
