Back in 2004, Mahesh Babu's 'Nani' was one of the most-awaited releases. It was directed by SJ Suryah, who was popular in Telugu for Pawan Kalyan's 'Kushi'. The music was by AR Rahman, India's most prominent music director of the time.
Two of the songs from 'Nani' surfaced on the Internet due to the mischief of somebody who was working on the project. The leaked songs were heard by many before the album's official release. When an aide told Power Star that two of Nani's songs were out, the actor asked him if they were leaked ones. When the aide said yes, Pawan told him he wouldn't listen to them.
Pawan didn't want to encourage pirates and mischief-mongers by listening to leaked songs.
When the entire first half of 'Attarintiki Daredi' was leaked in 2013, Pawan said that he was flabbergasted when people telephoned him and told him they had watched the leaked version and that he didn't have to worry about the box office prospects of the film because the film was so good. "I didn't know how to react," Pawan said at the film's audio release function.
