Lady Superstar Nayanthara Joins Superstar Rajinikanth in Kamal Haasan’s Production ‘Dharman’
The production unit of Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming pan-India spectacle ‘Dharman’ has dropped a major casting update. Lady Superstar Nayanthara has officially come aboard the cast, reuniting with Rajinikanth for the fifth time in her career.
Backed by Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan and R. Mahendran under the prestigious Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI) banner, the high-profile action thriller is written and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu.
Atmospheric New Poster: A High-Stakes Silhouette
To celebrate Nayanthara’s casting, the makers released a stylish character-reveal poster. The visual features Rajinikanth and Nayanthara standing face-to-face against an expansive, arched glass window, framed in striking silhouettes as amber sunlight streams through. The composition hints at emotional gravity and layered narrative conflict between their characters.
This marks the fifth collaboration between Rajinikanth and Nayanthara, who have previously shared screen space in blockbusters and commercial hits:
-
Chandramukhi (2005)
-
Kathanayakudu / Kuselan (2008)
-
Darbar (2020)
-
Peddhanna / Annaatthe (2021)
The Premise: Rajinikanth as ‘The Deadly Doctor’
Dharman had already sent trade circles into a frenzy with its raw, intriguing first-look poster, which unveiled Rajinikanth in a rare dark avatar labeled ‘The Deadly Doctor’. The poster featured the veteran actor holding a blood-stained surgical scalpel, pointing toward a gritty, morally ambiguous medical thriller filled with intense suspense.
Elite Technical Collaborators
RKFI has assembled a frontline technical crew to back Ashwath Marimuthu’s vision:
-
Music & Score: Rockstar Anirudh Ravichander
