SAV3 Launched with a Grand Pooja; Veteran Producer Ashok Kumar Graces the Event
In an unconventional yet celebratory milestone, the upcoming youth-centric entertainer SAV3 was formally launched with a traditional pooja ceremony. The project is being bankrolled by producer V. Vijaya under the Lakshmi Krishna Films banner, marking the production house's official Production No. 2.
The film features an interesting ensemble cast including Samrat, Demon Pawan, and digital sensation Likhita—widely recognized for her viral folk song "Raanu Nene Bombayki Raanu". Multi-faceted actor-director Krishna Maya is helming the project, while veteran industry producer Ashok Kumar attended the launch event as the chief guest.
Unconventional Planning and Production Discipline
Unlike traditional timelines where a launch ceremony happens before principal photography, the makers of SAV3 chose to organize their formal pooja event after successfully wrapping up the core production.
-
Financial Efficiency: Director Krishna Maya revealed that the ceremony was intentionally deferred to prioritize the budget toward direct filmmaking. The launch took place with the shooting schedules, dubbing, and editing phases already nearing final completion.
-
The Title Decoded: The director explained that the unique title SAV3 represents the three primary character arcs in the script: 'Sa' stands for Savitri (Likhita), 'V' represents Vijay Kumar (Demon Pawan), and '3' denotes Trivikram Raju (Samrat).
Ashok Kumar (Chief Guest & Veteran Producer)
"I have known Krishna Maya since his early days working on Preminchukundam Raa, and he even played a role in our production Eeswar. He is a passionate, multi-talented filmmaker who understands planned production. While the theatrical trade faces continuous challenges, audiences never fail to back strong content. Since the youth form the backbone of theatre ticket sales, his decision to craft a tight, well-planned youth entertainer is a highly smart move."
Samrat (Lead Actor)
"After stepping away from cinema to manage my business ventures, this script instantly pulled me back. The narrative is set against a realistic rustic village backdrop and draws inspiration from actual events. I made my debut years ago with Something Something, but I haven't played a character this well-layered since. Audiences will see a completely refreshed version of me on screen."
Performers' Take on the Narrative Shift
Demon Pawan highlighted the creative freedom: "Following my stint on Bigg Boss, I wanted a script that would challenge me as an actor. Working with Krishna Maya was highly rewarding because he encouraged us to improvise naturally on set rather than strictly sticking to pre-written script papers."
-
A Shift to Cinema: Leading lady Likhita noted that she intentionally took a brief hiatus from her highly successful folk music videos to focus on substantive roles as a heroine. She praised producer V. Vijaya for ensuring zero creative compromises while maintaining solid production value throughout the schedule.
-
The Technical Edge: The makers added that a highly dynamic musical score composed by hit technician Sai Kartheek will operate as a primary commercial asset for the film when it heads into its theatrical campaign.
