Rocking Star Manchu Manoj Adds Spark to “Daksha” Press Meet; Film Set for Grand Global Release on September 19

The much‑anticipated thriller Daksha – The Deadly Conspiracy, headlined by Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna, is all set for a worldwide theatrical release on September 19. The film is jointly produced by Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures and Manchu Entertainment, making it even more special with Dr. Mohan Babu playing a pivotal character. Notably, the project brings the iconic father–daughter duo, Mohan Babu and Lakshmi, together on screen for the very first time. Directed and written by Vamsee Krishna Malla, the film promises to be an edge‑of‑the‑seat thriller.

As part of the promotions, a grand press meet was held in Hyderabad, where Rocking Star Manchu Manoj took the spotlight as the chief guest, extending his best wishes to the team.

Cast and Team Share Their Experiences

  • Rangasthalam Mahesh expressed his gratitude to Lakshmi: “It was a wonderful experience working in Daksha. People’s perception on social media is very different, but I realized after working with her that she is extremely genuine. This film will definitely fetch her wider appreciation.”

  • Gemini Suresh, who plays a journalist, shared his excitement: “Daksha is not the regular kind of thriller. I’m glad Lakshmi garu gave me this opportunity. The film is sure to engage audiences.”

  • Director Vamsee Krishna Malla highlighted the uniqueness of his project: “Daksha is a gripping suspense thriller that today’s audience is keen on. Directing Mohan Babu garu itself is an unforgettable honor. I truly believe this film will be another landmark for the Manchu family. Mythri Distributors, who earlier brought out hits like Mirai and Kannappa, are also distributing this film, and I wish for another consecutive success with Daksha.”

Emotional Words from Manchu Lakshmi

Lakshmi Manchu shared how the story came her way: “It was my father who first believed in this script and encouraged me. This film has brought together such a fresh and passionate team. Each person worked with complete ownership, making the journey very memorable. I’m thankful to have co‑stars like Mahesh, Gemini Suresh, and actors from across India such as Samuthirakani, Siddique, Viswant, and Chitra Shukla.”

She went on to appreciate her brother Manoj’s constant support, saying: “After my father, it’s Manoj who truly looks after me. Even when he wasn’t working on films, I waited eagerly for his comeback to the screen. He is one of the most versatile actors I know, excelling as both hero and villain, and his insights on filmmaking really helped me shape Daksha.”

Rocking Star Manoj’s Support

Speaking at the event, Manchu Manoj thanked audiences for the resounding success of his film Mirai: “Next week, Daksha, starring my sister and father, will release. I truly wish audiences give it the same love. My sister has worked extremely hard for this project, and she deserves all the success.”

He also commented on the present positive trend in Telugu cinema: “It feels good to see theaters buzzing again. Films like Little Hearts, Kishkindapuri, and Mirai are being celebrated by audiences. I congratulate Sai Bellamkonda on success as well. With big releases like Daksha and OG lined up, this is turning out to be a festive month for cinema lovers. For the industry to shine, every film needs to do well, and I hope our Telugu films continue to make a mark internationally too.”

With Daksha carrying strong expectations, the film’s pan‑India star cast and the rare on‑screen collaboration between Mohan Babu and Manchu Lakshmi are poised to be its major highlights when it hits theaters on September 19.
