Akkineni Nagarjuna's N Convention Demolished in Hyderabad

The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection (HYDRAA) on Saturday demolished N Convention, a famous center located near Hi-Tech City in Hyderabad. It is owned by actor Akkineni Nagarjuna. The demolition came after allegations that the convention center encroached on the buffer zone of Thammidi Kunta. The authorities claimed that 1.12 acres within the Full Tank Level (FTL) and an additional 2 acres within the lake's buffer zone were encroached upon.

The Revanth Reddy government took the issue seriously and that's why the razing happened. Many years ago, on the floor of the Telangana Assembly, then-MLA Revanth Reddy raised the issue of alleged encroachment by N Convention.

"Actors are supposed to be ideal. Their behaviour must be exemplary. On the contrary, Nagarjuna has built his function hall by encroaching a lake. Why is the government not taking action against him? What kind of forces are preventing action from being taken?" Revanth Reddy, who was then with the TDP, asked the KCR government at that time.
