The Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi has ruled for the extension of the judicial custody of MLC Kavitha until July 3. Kavitha, a prominent leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party and daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), appeared before Judge Kaveri Bhaveja, accompanied by her husband Anil and sons.
The arrest of Kavitha in connection with the Delhi liquor scam has been a subject of national attention. She was apprehended by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) from her residence in Hyderabad on March 15 on charges related to money laundering. Since then, she has been detained in Tihar jail as investigations into the alleged scam continue.
