TG Cabinet Expansion: Komatireddy Lobbying

The Telangana cabinet is set for its first expansion after the formation of the cabinet under Revanth Reddy’s leadership last December.

Irrespective of gram panchayat polls being held before July end or getting delayed, Revanth is particular about having a full-fledged 18 member cabinet as he wants all the cabinet ministers to hoist flags in districts and assembly constituencies on the occasion of Independence Day.

Though AICC general secretary KC Venugopal had cautioned the ministers that their performance during the recent Lok Sabha elections would be reviewed, talk in the party circles is that none of the ministers will be dropped irrespective of the results.

Presently, a 12 member cabinet is in place. Revanth and 11 ministers were sworn in on Dec 7, 2023, when the new Congress govt took over after winning the Nov assembly elections.

Komatireddy Raja Gopal Reddy has started lobbying for a ministry and he is likely to be included in the cabinet this time around.
