Following the court order, Hyderabad police took Former DCP task force Radha Kishan Rao into custody on Thursday April 4, 2024. Radha Kishan Rao was arrested in connection with the phone tapping case.
In a press statement Hyderabad police said, “The accused officer colluded with other police officers and developed the profiles of private persons unauthorisedly, clandestinely and illegally in SIB and using them to favour a political party at the behest of some persons and also conspired in destroying the records to cause disappearance of evidence of their crimes”. Presently the accused is being questioned by the Banjara Hills police of Hyderabad commissionerate.
P. Radha Kishan Rao was arrested by Hyderabad police in an illegal phone-tapping case on March 29, 2024. Further, he was sent to judicial custody.
